Affiliate Disclosure

What is an affiliate link?

Some links on MyTriathlonCalculator.com are affiliate links. When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer's site.

Amazon Associates Program

MyTriathlonCalculator.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Amazon affiliate links on this site include the tag mytri-20 in the URL. These links carry rel="sponsored" as required by Amazon's operating agreement.

Other retailers

This site may also link to other retailers (REI, Garmin, Wahoo, and others). Where we are not enrolled in a formal affiliate programme with a retailer, those links carry rel="nofollow" rather than rel="sponsored", as we are not currently compensated for those referrals. We include them because they are relevant alternatives for readers, not for commercial reasons.

How commissions affect our recommendations

We do not let affiliate relationships determine which products we recommend or how we rank them. Our reviews and roundups are based on publicly available specifications, community feedback, and editorial judgement. We do not accept payment for placement or positive coverage.

We do not fabricate user ratings or claim to have tested products in a lab setting. Where we have not personally used a product, we use the word "Reviewed" or "Researched", not "Tested".

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials. Affiliate links are also identified inline on each page where they appear.
